Connections...

.... my paintings are inspired by rhythm and movement in the natural world, subtle colour changes and the effects of light.

Colour and composition are initially instinctive and derived from an emotional response.  I look for, and emphasise connections between the pictorial elements, the inherent similarities between natural forms.... attempting  to  express a sense of unity, an analogy in painting for the  structure of nature.
